Dear Diary,

Ahhh...another day of packing and packing. It is so tedious, but it must be done. The more organized we are, the faster the move will go on Friday. Plus, our movers get paid by the hour, so we want this to go smoothly. Jeff took the day off from work to oversee everything. I will be joining the fun as soon as I get off the air.

I am glad this is a 3-day weekend coming up. It will give us time to unpack and get settled in the new place.

I got our tax stuff ready to go. My tax gal lives in Florida and it is somewhat of a pain to mail everything out. However, she is great at what she does and I trust her completely. Also, she doesn't charge an arm and a leg.

I figured we should get all of that paperwork done before we move. That way we won't misplace any of it and need it later.

No big plans for Valentine's day, but we pretty much celebrated our love last weekend. This weekend is for moving....yea.

Talk to you tomorrow,

Dear Diary,

Well, the weekend is definitely over. Jeff and I got in this huge fight last night. It was so disturbing and I am so not one of those chicks that bounces back from a fight...and then there is this great make-up lovin.' It stayed with me all night. We are both pushed to the breaking point. We are tired of packing and lifting boxes.

We are tired of getting things ready for the move, switching the cable, phone and Internet...letting people know our address has changed, getting the permits together to move on Friday...locking down the movers, getting the proper paperwork faxed to them...

Meanwhile, our renter in Minneapolis continues to tell us everything wrong with our place and what needs to be fixed. Plus, the old renters want their security deposit back and we are dealing with a he-said/she-said on who broke the microwave. In the end, it just means more money flying out the door.

And during all of this I am trying to get our tax stuff together.

I just wish we could get through this process and be okay. In the end, the result is so worth it. I can't wait to move, but we are feeling the stress of it.

Talk to you tomorrow,

Dear Diary,

Jeff and I had such a fabulous weekend. He took me to the Fairmont Inn and Spa for our one-year anniversary. Not only was it beautiful, but so relaxing. The entire staff was amazingly friendly and the rooms were perfect. They upgraded us to a suite for our anniversary. It had a jacuzzi tub and a fireplace. We had a fire going the entire weekend.

We spent Saturday in the spa. We did a couples' massage and then I got a facial. They also have these amazing mineral pools. You go from the warm mineral pool, to the hot tub. Then you take a cool shower, followed by the eucalyptus steam room. After that, you go into the dry sauna and finish up with a cool shower. It was so refreshing.

The hotel restaurant was delicious. We tried the lemon souffle and it was so good. That was my first souffle...and probably not my last.

We agreed that anytime we are getting stressed and taking it out on each other...we would head back to the Fairmont to rejuvenate the relationship. I can't wait to go back.

Talk to you tomorrow,

Dear Diary,

At the end of yesterday's St. Jude Radio-A-Thon, we had raised $175,000. It is amazing the compassion pouring out of the Bay Area. We spent some time in the phone bank yesterday afternoon. Not only were the phones ringing off the hook with people more than willing to help others, but the personal stories coming from the phone lines will tear at your heart-strings. I talked to a man who became a "Partner in Hope," who survived brain cancer when he was a child.

On the other hand, you hear from a single mom of three who can barely pay her bills. She is more than happy, though, to help St, Jude because she couldn't imagine what the parents go through when they watch their child fight cancer.

It is an honor to be apart of an event like this. I hope we double that amount today.

I am looking forward to a relaxing weekend. Sleep sounds like a really good idea, as well. We were at the station all day yesterday, so I haven't even packed for the weekend getaway. I will have to squeeze that in somewhere. It doesn't sound like packing will be too complicated.

But now it is back to the phones for more "Partners in Hope:)"

Talk to you tomorrow,

Dear Diary,

Today was quite an experience. I have never been a part of a St. Jude Hospital Radio-A-Thon. It is so amazing. It is heart-wrenching to hear the stories from families who have lost their child to cancer. However, their strength is inspiring. I was also so impressed with our listeners. It is not even noon and we have raised $90,000. How great is that?

We are taking a little break and then we go back at it around 3 o'clock. Everyone in the whole building has come together for this great cause. It's so wonderful to see this harmony that has been created.

I am just happy to be a small part of it.

Jeff and I did some more packing last night, plus he booked our movers this morning. We are moving next Friday, Friday the 13th to be exact. That should be lucky.

I am so ready to be settled and to not think about moving...I don't know...for at least 6 months.

I am going to grab a bite to eat before we get back at it. I am so excited to see what our total at the end of the day will be.

Talk to you tomorrow,

Dear Diary,

I keep hoping when I go to the gym, the classes will get easier but they are still kicking my butt. You know it's bad when you are having trouble actually getting out of bed.

I still have no idea where Jeff is taking me this weekend. I had one guess, but it turned out to be wrong...which I am glad about. I don't like to know what the surprise is. I thought it may be Calistoga, but it is not. Jeff said this place is more about where we are staying, not the destination. Plus, we can take the dogs which is nice.

I went in to BriteSmile in Walnut Creek yesterday. They now have the laser hair removal. I am so excited to be hair-free in the bikini and under-arm region. They people there are so great and it was a fairly easy process. I can't wait to go in and do my legs too. The idea of not having to shave all the time is delightful.

Dear Diary,

Well, I was feeling pretty good this morning. I ran four miles last night and was sticking to my diet. However, I was checking out my Facebook page and the Wolf uploaded a video from the Zack Brown Super Bowl party. Apparently, they used the "fat" camera. It is so amazingly unflattering. I know I am not that wide, but the angle looks like it was shot at a fun-house.

Back to the diet drawing board with less calories and more exercising.

This weekend Jeff is taking me somewhere for our first anniversary. It is a surprise, so I don't know where we are headed. However, I do think the dogs are coming with us...so that means no flying. He also told me to bring a bathing suit. I like to be surprised so I am not trying to figure it out.

The bathing suit factor is pushing me to the gym as well. Crunch, here I a come.

Dear Diary,

This weekend went by in a blur. Jeff and I went to this fabulous class at Crunch Friday night. I could barely move after it was done...but a couple more sessions and I will be totally fit.

Saturday and Sunday we spent packing, packing, and then did some more packing. We made a couple trips to the new place Saturday. We would unpack the boxes we brought, so we could re-use them at the apartment. It was quite "green."

It was amazing, we kept packing and yet, the apartment still looked full of stuff. We will have to do an official move, but I think it will help getting the little stuff out of the way.

The Super Bowl party with the Zac Brown Band was awesome. It was at Roxanne's house in Burlingame. She was such a doll, and her friends and family were so nice. The band was fantastic and their new songs are great. I can't wait until they release the singles.

Talk to you tomorrow,

Dear Diary,

I am so glad we are on the cusp of Friday. I had a doctor's appt. yesterday and afterwards I was so beat. Of course, I had all good intentions of going to the gym last night...that did not happen. Instead, Jeff and I worked on packing up our home. Man, we filled five boxes and still didn't make a dent.

My acid reflux has been really acting up this week, hence the doctor's appt. She is running some tests. Hopefully, a simple remedy will be the answer.

I have my trunk full of stuff to drop off at the GoodWill. Jeff and I made the rule that if we haven't use it in the last year, we do not need it. It amazes me how much stuff we have given away and our closets are still full of crap.

Jeff and I are thinking about having a slumber party at the houseboat this weekend. We can put a mattress in the Tahoe, bring the grill and camp out on the floor. Waking up to that view would make sleeping on the floor totally worth it.

Dear Diary,

I went to the best class at my gym last night. It was a cardio class based on stripping. I loved it! I can't wait to go back. The teacher was fantastic, I am totally sore. She definitely knows all of the moves from experience, too. I want to get a bunch of female listeners and all of us take a class together.

It actually made me feel more confident when I walked out there. That gym membership was totally worth it.

We have a big event for the Super Bowl this weekend. We are bringing the Zac Brown band to a special winner's house for a half-time performance. Plus, we are supplying all of the food from Mr. Pickles. I can't wait to try Mr. Pickles...mainly because his name makes me giggle.

I am so glad tomorrow is Friday, This week has been nuts. Jeff has had a crazy week as well and we are both looking forward to relaxing this weekend. We might even camp out at the new place just for fun.

Talk to you tomorrow,

Dear Diary,

Oops. I got an e-mail from my trainer at Crunch. When you join you get two complimentary sessions. I was supposed to call when I got back from Florida. I have not done that. He is reminding me about scheduling our appointments. I will definitely have to call him today.

I am still catching up on sleep. I had all good intentions of going to gym on Monday and Tuesday...I didn't quite make it.

Ken, Louis and I went to lunch yesterday. It has been really nuts since we got back, putting out fires and such. It was nice to kick back and just relax.

Jeff has got the same stuff going on. He has a ton of stuff due all at the same time. He has been stealing my Prilosec to help with acid reflux. Ouch...I hope that gets better.

I think once we are settled and we aren't constantly having to do something or be somewhere, we will relax....maybe.

Talk to you tomorrow,

Dear Diary,

It is always a challenge to get back into to the groove after being out of town, especially with the three hour time difference. My inner clock is all messed up.

Yesterday was definitely a day of playing catch-up. There was a ton of stuff to do at work, then a ton of stuff to do at home. I will be honest, tax time is such a pain in the rump. I still use my gal in Florida. I trust her, she is inexpensive and she knows her stuff.

We had Marla the Pet Psychic on today. She is such a sweetheart. I love chatting with her. We have known each other for years, but this is first time we have met in the flesh. She has this wonderful energy. She will be in Mountain View at the East West Bookstore tomorrow night for the release of her CD. It is all about animal communication.

She lives out in Petaluma and she rides horses. I am going to ask her where she thinks I should go riding. I am looking for a place that gives you a horse based on your experience. I have been riding for a long time and don't want to start from the beginning every time I go.

Dear Diary,

We had a fantastic time in Florida, the radio convention was a huge success. I had forgotten how beautiful Fort Lauderdale is...and also how much money you need to live there. Every house was gorgeous with a Mercedes in the front and a yacht in the back.

We met a ton of people from all over and got a bunch of wonderful ideas. It is always interesting to hear what is going on in other places.

While I was gone, Jeff packed up a good amount of stuff and took it over to the new place. I was impressed with how much he did. It just shows me how ready he is to move and how excited he is to live there.

He said he met a couple of our neighbors and they we all very nice. I am sorry I wasn't there to greet them. He thinks we should bring them each a bottle of wine to get in their good graces right off the bat. I think he is on to something.

Dear Diary,

I went to my first work-out class at Crunch last night. Since Jeff and I are moving out of our apartment building, we won't have access to a gym. So, we checked some gyms out and picked Crunch. Jeff gets a corporate discount and I just like their classes.

I did something called Chisel...OMG. I thought I was some-what in shape, but I guess not. I was hurting, burning, sweating and breathing hard. It was really tough, but I know if I keep at it I will definitely see results.

One thing that was really cool was the numerous personal trainers there for the sole purpose of watching your form and helping in any way you might need. It was great. And it actually made a huge difference. I can't wait for my next class.

We leave today for our radio convention in Fort Lauderdale. I wish I would have time to see friends, but the sessions are pretty much back-to-back. I am really looking forward to learning from other people in the biz and coming back with a ton of fun, new ideas.

Talk to you tomorrow,

Dear Diary,

One thing I have noticed about Jeff and me is that we seem to live by the motto: Go big or go home. We have the keys in hand to the floating home and the papers are signed. I called our new landlord, Bob, yesterday to let him know that we were good to go.

He wanted to get together Wednesday to take care of the paperwork. However, we are headed to Florida for that radio convention. So, we went to his house last night and did it.

I am excited about this radio event, but I am so pumped to get packed up. I can't wait to move in. I am so excited, I don't think it has even sunk in yet that this is really happening.

Bob was so great. He had two more couples come by on Sunday and they were very interested in renting the property. But he said he liked Jeff and I. I am so glad we didn't lose out on it. It makes me a little nervous the speed at which everything happened. I just found it on Friday. On the other hand, I think everything happens for a reason.

Time to pick up some boxes and newspaper.

Dear Diary,

I had such a great weekend. On Saturday, Jeff and I drove in to Sausalito to check out a floating home that is for rent. It was fantastic. I love it. Ever since I was a little girl, I have wanted to live on a houseboat. One of my favorite movies is 'Foul Play,' with Goldie Hawn and Chevy Chase. Chase's character lives on a houseboat in San Francisco.

Who would have thought twenty some-odd years later I would be living in the same city with the opportunity right in front of me?

We are not out of our current lease until April, but Jeff and I decided to plead to our landlords. We actually came up with a good plan...since we put down two months rent when we moved in, we can put that towards February and March....then all we need is to get out of April.

We took our landlords out for a drink last night and laid it all out on the table. They were so great and totally excited for us. They were completely fine with us being done at the end of March.

I am so pumped. Now, we just need to get everything solidified with the new landlord:)

Dear Diary,

I was totally not in the mood to work-out. But I so need to...so I dragged my lazy butt to the gym last night. We are headed to Florida and I wish I smaller and tighter...but we are only a few weeks out from the holidays. I am sure everyone is still a little saggy.

We watched the 'CSI' final farewell to Grissom last night. I was pleasantly surprised. It doesn't look like the story line will suffer, either. I know I sound like a dork spending so much time talking about a TV show, but there isn't much out there anymore in terms of entertainment. Yes, I know...I could go read a book.

Today, Jeff is getting off work early. He doesn't have to work on Monday and a lot of people are skipping out early. So, we are going to take advantage of the beautiful weather and have lunch outside. Eddie and our new intern Louis are going to join us as well. I wanted to try that restaurant Lime, but it is not open for lunch during the week. My only requirement is outdoor seating:)

Dear Diary,

I worked out last night. Oh man, I was hurting. I have got to be more diligent about my work-outs. This heavy breathing just will not do. Jeff and I went into a gym yesterday to check on rates and what is available. I really liked it. They had a ton of unique classes and the facility was great. I just wish it had a smaller price tag. Actually, I wish that about a lot of things right now.

I have my to-do list all ready to go for this weekend. I need to get everything in order for Fort Lauderdale next week. It will be a load off of my mind if I just pack this weekend.

At some point, I must get my eyebrows waxed. It's like two caterpillars took up permanent residence on my forehead.

It's the end of an era tonight. The last episode of 'CSI' with Grissom is tonight. They better send him off with a bang or I will be disappointed. 'Nip/Tuck' has somewhat jumped the shark...or as they now say, "Nuked the fridge," That is in honor of that dopey scene in Indiana Jones and the Crystal Crap Skull.

Dear Diary,

I have not been sleeping well this week. I don't know the reason for it, but as soon as I lie down my brain starts going a mile a minute. I am thinking about our trip to Florida next week, I am thinking about not sticking to my diet, I am thinking about my upcoming anniversary...I need some sort of magic pill to turn my brain off. Even when I try to meditate myself to sleep, I start multi-tasking...stating my mantra and going over my to-do list.

I haven't worked out since last week. I just haven't felt motivated...probably because I am sleepy.

I must get back on that work-out horse today. Maybe it will help if I join that gym I have been looking into. I think some different types of classes will break the monotony.

I am also putting together a getaway for Jeff's birthday. It is in April, but I am quite anal about stuff like that. I would rather have everything in order early, rather than be running around at the last minute.

Dear Diary,

I drove over to Oakland today to do a voice-over gig. I joined a voice-over agency when I moved to San Francisco, I used to do a lot fo them in Minneapolis and Florida. It was for Kaiser Permanente. It went really well and hopefully, they will want to use me again.

I got lost on the way back. I was kicking myself for not setting up the Garmin Jeff got me for Christmas. That would have really come in handy. Plus, it would have cost less since I had to give the guy who gave me directions money...shocker, nothing is for free.

Wait, let me get back into my positive frame of mind....namaste.

I am having lunch with my friend, Alex, today. We are definitely going somewhere we can sit outside. The weather is gorgeous.

Next week, we head to Florida for a radio convention. I am excited, one of the guest speakers is Dave Barry, He is screamingly funny and I can't wait.

Talk to you tomorrow,
